International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in their search for a new Regional Representative for Southeast Asia (SEA), based in Bangkok, Thailand.

IRRI is a not-for-profit organization that aims to improve livelihoods and nutrition, abolishing poverty, hunger, and malnutrition among those who depend on rice-based agri-food systems.

The Regional Representative, SEA will represent IRRI’s interests in the region, provide strategic leadership and enable effective management of IRRI’s major research and development programs in SEA. S/he will interact with national and international partners and donors to seek new opportunities for research and partnerships, including fundraising, coordination and engagement with both the public and private sector.

The ideal candidate will have substantial relevant experience in senior research for development programmes and a PHD in agricultural sciences, rural sociology, development economics or a related field. Extensive experience in leadership, partnerships development, fundraising and strong diplomatic skills are also essential.
